The GSPCA has had a busy year beginning with a visit from Luke Gamble, Adventure Vet, Worldwide Veterinary Services and Red Earth Studios. They are filming a 10-part documentary with animal welfare organizations around the world. The documentary will be shown on SKY TV, the BBC and then distributed worldwide. The GSPCA was chosen from over 500 applicants. The filming took place at the GSPCA, field trips in the Mobile Surgery Van and in Carriacou. This will give our work worldwide exposure and hopefully bring in much needed funding and donations.
Two Vet teams from Worldwide Veterinary Services (WVS) of the UK visited in August and September neutering altogether 140 dogs and cats. Started by Luke Gamble, WVS has been extremely supportive of the GSPCA donating lots of supplies and medicines. We cannot thank WVS enough for all their support.

In January we had a return visit from The Puppy Angels a US Vet team who neutered 50 dogs in Carriacou and a return visit from Dr. Lara Jamieson from Canada who spayed 12 dogs for us here in Grenada and another 14 in Carriacou.
Italian Veterinarians, Dr. Massa and Dr. Andrea volunteered for two weeks in February neutering 45 dogs here in Grenada and 14 in Carriacou.
Again MaryAnn Mulvey shanghaied Yachtsman Dr. Tom Barkdall, longtime friend of the GSPCA. Together they neutered all the puppies in the shelter while wife Cindy, a pharmacist, cleaned out and reorganized our medical supplies closet.

Four sets of Veterinary students from the US and Canada volunteered during the last year. These are 4th and 5th term students, who assist the GSPCA while gaining experience in shelter work.

Dr. Emma Hage joined the GSPCA team in February 2009. Dr. Hage is Grenadian and a graduate of SGUSVM. She sees clients three days a week at the GSPCA. Dr. Hage has already neutered over 60 dogs and cats for us and looks after our shelter dogs!!

The GSPCA has rescued and re-homed almost 200 dogs and cats in the last year. Annie is the rescue of the year. After many calls about this poor dog, Anne Macintyre bravely went and rescued her. Thanks Anne!
John and Patty Daniels have given her a good home.

With the help of Dr. Sybille from Switzerland we spayed 200 dogs and cats in Carriacou. Although we closed our hospital we will continue our spay / neuter program in our mobile van with our volunteer Vets Ms Ena's sick pig in Carriacou, Dario and Marina (KIDO) foundation Carriaccou with injured iguana.

We couldn't fit any more files into our crowded reception area so we moved our office into our isolation ward and moved our isolation ward upstairs the clinic. This gives us a larger office, larger waiting area and puts the isolation ward further away from the hospital.
Thanks to Frik and Junior for doing a great job on renovation. We love it and it saves steps on our weary feet!!
Thanks to everyone who adopted from us!!

Contributions are needed, please continue to support the GSPCA, many more animals need your assistance!!
